Step 1 Telling the demands in the period
1.To get to know and learn to talk about how robots help us in our daily life
2.To learn some new words and useful expressions

Step 2 New words
Teach the new words ,ask the Ss to read after the teacher, and give them several minutes to read them by themselves. Then choose some to read the new words and speak out the Chinese.

explore vt. 探索,讨论 outer space n. 太空
brain n. 大脑 whatever pron. 任何,一切事物

Step 3 Leading-in
Ask “Have you seen robots in the films? ”,then let the students watch a short video about the robot which was invented in the University of Science and Technology of China. Ask the them to find the answer to the following questions
1. What’s the video about?
2. Would you like to have your own robot?
students enjoy the video and answer the questions.

1.What about Eddie?
2.Does his robot have problems? What is he doing?
Listen and answer
1.Why is Eddie writing a complaint letter?

4.Explain the language points in the conversation.
5. Ask some students to act out Comic strip.
