Step1. Speak up

1.Memory test: What can a robot do?

What can Mr. Jiang's robot help with him?

2. However, his robot has caught a virus. He is calling the robot shop.

Listen and answer: Who is he speaking to? (the Customer Service Department)

What will the robot shop do with the problem?(have sth. done)

3. Read and make up a similar dialogue in groups.(hold, put sb. through)

Step2. The robot show

Mr. Jiang has asked Daniel for help. He knows that there is a robot show in Sunshine Town. He would like Simon to go to the show with him. They had a chat on qq. Simon requires him to finish 3 tasks. Let's help Daniel finish them.

Task1. Pre-listening

1. Read the poster in A1& answer the questions about the show:

When will the show be held?

Where will the show be held?

What time will the show begin and finish at?

What's the price of the ticket?

What will you get if you go to the show?

Tip1--- what to get from a poster(when, where. how much,...)

Task2. While-listening

1. Go through the notes in A2 &predict the blanks(2.3.4.5.6.7.8)

Tip2---predict some possible answers with the given information in A1.

Tip3.---listen to some key words and write down some abbreviations.

2. Then, listen and help Daniel fill in the rest blanks.

3. Check and read.(get sth. wrong)

Task3. Post-listening

1. Let's help Daniel finish his email to Simon about the robot show.
