Step 1: Lead in

Purpose:

Through a short video, this part is designed to help students get some basic information about robots and then move to the topic smoothly.

T: Good afternoon, boys and girls!

S: Good afternoon, Miss Peng!

T: Today, I want to introduce a new friend Lucy to you. And then tell me what she can do.

Listen, here she comes!

(watch a short video)

S: (watch for about one minute)

T: Is she amazing? What can she do?

S: (some pictures)

T: She can do so many things for us. She feels quite happy.

Step2: A robot show

Purpose: This part is aimed to help students grasp some listening skills. More importantly, the three listening materials are recorded in a robot’s voice to arouse students’ interest.

T: Lucy and her friends decide to show themselves.

Daniel, our friend, is a robot fan. He wants to go there.
