Comic strip
Step 1, Lead-in
1. Present the picture of the Earth and ask : Do you know the place in the pictures? (It’s the Earth,
our home.) Teacher tell the students: The Earth is covered with water, so it looks blue.
2. Present the problems our earth is facing, such as being polluted and overcrowded. Lead the students to answer : What shall we do? Where shall we live in the future?
3. Present the picture of Mars and ask: What does it look like? ( It looks red, so it is also called the Red Planet.) Present this topic of this unit.

1. Present the picture of the eight planets in the Solar System, lead students to say out their names one by one.
