Step 1 Pre-listening

Task 1 lead in

Show the programme about the life on Mars to students. Guide them to discuss the programme and encourage students to state their general idea about the programme:

Task 2 Presentation

Present the words and phrases through talking about the picture.

The earth is becoming more and more crowded and polluted. We may find a better world to live. Which planet is a good choice? (Mars). If it is possible, would you like to live on Mars? Let’s carry out a survey. From the survey, we can know about the percentage of the students who want to live on Mars. Living on Mars has some advantages. Each coin has two sides. It also has some disadvantages. I’m not sure if it’s worth the risk. After all, it’s challenging.
