IV. Teaching Procedures
Step 1 Presentation
Present two pictures of the students’ test paper, ask the students if they want to have good marks like the first one.
Explain what task-based reading is.
Task-based reading= reading(read a passage) + writing (write 5-10 words in a diagram/a passage)

Step 2 Practice
Ask the students to do a task-based reading as an example.
Ask the students how many parts we can divide the diagram into.

Ask the students to complete the title and subtitle.
Discuss the tips for information induction.

表示因果关系:reason(for), cause(of), result(of)

表示优缺点:advantage(s), disadvantage(s)

7. Check the answers and discuss the tips for information search and information conversion.
解题关键: 根据问题查找定位信息,加工分析并转换成另一种表达方式。
常见的转换方式:词性转换,句子结构转换,同义词和反义词转换,另选其它词来释义等
