3. Learning method:

The feature of the students in Grade 7 is that they are curious but worried and shy. They are interested in English, but afraid of the mistakes. As a new subject, they hope to learn well and mind the praise of other persons. So I think it is very important to encourage them to think and solve the questions in the right way.

Teaching aids:

Objects, multimedia, money

Teaching Procedures:

Step1: Lead-in

Revise colors. Revise sentences “what color is it? It’s?” Students hands up and answer. If he/she is right, he /she can be praised.

Step2: Presentation

Show some clothes. Ask: “What’s this in English?/What are these in English?” “What color is it?/ What color are they?” Students answer: “It’s?/They’re ?” Read the words again and again. Teacher correct the pronunciation.

2. Then teach “How much is this hat? It's..../ How much are these shorts?”

Step 3 Work in pairs, in rows, in groups.

Listen: 1b on page 37.

Step4: Game

Buying things: Teacher sets up a store where has a lot of clothes. Students could use the money to buy the clothes they like. At the back of each clothes there is some money for awarding.

Step5: Conclusion

The group of the most conversations are winner. Teacher praises the winner and encourages other groups. Give students the checkpoints in the lesson.
