Ⅰ. Warming- up and lead in

1. Play a guessing game.

2. Tongue twister.

3. Listen and read.

环节说明:由游戏及语音训练引出本节课要学的内容,过渡自然,引起学生的学习兴趣。

Ⅱ. Let’s learn .

Look at 1a. The teacher asks the Ss who could put the three phrases into English, then let the Ss match the words in the box with the signs, and see who does the best and most quickly.

Ⅲ. Practice

Go along the street and turn right/left.

A: Excuse me,is there a supermarket near here?

B:Yes,there is. Go along Bridge Street and turn left when you see the park. Go along Long Street and it’s on the right. It’s between the hotel and the post office.

Look at 1a and 1b.

1. Ask the Ss to listen and write the correct place for each letter in the picture.

2. Listen again. Fill in the blanks. Check the answers.

Ⅴ. Group work

Look at the picture of 1b.

1. Divide the Ss into groups. Each group has two students.

2. T: Now please imagine you and your partner are the two people in the picture in 1b. Ask and answer questions about the places.
