Step1 .Warm-up.
Greet the whole class as usual.
Step2 .Lead-in. (2mins)
1、Brainstorming : Revise the nouns that students have learned (pencil,book,box,schoolbag ,dictionary,pen,map,ruler...etc) let students look and speak with the flash word cards.
T : Class! Look at each picture that I will show you and say the word that each picture stands for.
2、Revise “What’s this ? It is a/an....”
Step 3. Presentation.
1、Present the furniture
T: Look at the big picture on the screen. This is a big nice room. I want to own such a room. Because there is some nice furniture in it. Do you know the names of the furniture?
(Show a picture of a table.)
T: What’s this?
Ss: It’s a table.
T:Follow me. Table.
Ss:Table.
(Teach the other words bookcase /sofa/chair/bed in the same way.)
