Step I: Warming-up (Let’s chant)

Desk, desk, on the desk.

Sofa, sofa, on the sofa

Bed, bed, under the bed

Table, table, under the table.

Room, room, in the room

Bookcase, bookcase, in the bookcase

StepⅡ:Revision

Review the words they’ve learnt. Show the pictures of the things on the screen. (Each word has the

singular form and plural form.)

StepⅢ:Memory Game.

Give ten seconds to remember many things in the room. Let the students review the furniture and the school things.

StepⅣ: Review the important sentences using the three pictures of the mouse and the box. Let students review the prepositions “in、on、under”

StepⅤ:Ask students to make a conversation using the pictures. Pay attention to the words.

Where is = Where’s √ Where are=Where’re ×

StepⅥ:Guessing Game

1)Show the things that are covered. Let students guess “Is it…?” if the student can’t guess where it is, show the picture gradually.

2)Ask 2 girls and 2 boys in the front of the classroom to guess where the things are and the others answer the questions using the sentences “Yes,…/ No, …”

Step Ⅶ: Group work

1)Let nine groups draw cards informally and then discuss in groups . Make a conversation using the things in the cards.
