Analysis to the students
Since the students have watched the film of The Martain, they have a rough idea of the plot of the
film. They can express their respective answers to the questions on the Answer Sheet slightly easily. Forthese top students of the whole grade, they can teach themselves about the lines of the film as well as the theme. During the weekend , they can collect information on the Internet or communicate with theirparents .The students also have a strong power to analyze and develop own ideas. When it comes to the
topic of Space, they may feel it a great challenge .

Teaching Process:
Step1: Lead-in
Present three pictures and introduce the topic. Then ask students what they are connected with? Write
“Astronomy” on the blackboard. Make students understand that astronomy is a science including
stars; planets and space. The prefix of “astro” refers to “stars” while “nomy” deals with “
knowledge”.
