What is a summary?

Compare the following two versions. Which one is a better summary?

1) Class 13, located in the fourth floor, is one of the best classes in our school. Students in Class 13 work hard. For example, before class, they preview what the teacher will teach; in class, they pay great attention to what the teacher says. In addition, they can review what they have learned after class. So far, they have achieved great progress.

2) Class 13 is one of the best classes in our school. Students in Class 13 work hard all the time, from the early morning to the evening. That can partly account for why they have achieved great progress.

2. A good summary should be a brief restatement of the content of a piece of writing, which should include all the important parts written with your own words.

Narration (记叙文)

记叙文的基本要素:
