To be specific, they will be able to—
1. Know about the author, his background, writing style, and representative works.
2. Infer the meaning of some expressions according to the context.
3. Figure out the emotions and personality of the main characters
4. Compare the changes of Mathilde before and after she lost the necklace.
5. Appreciate literature: the effect of a twist/ surprise, and symbolism.
6. Rethink about Mathilde’s tragedy and form critical thinking.
7. Create their own literature by writing a two-line poem with a twist.
