Step 1 Lead in
a.Show a letter on the screen,from the letter, we can learn some words,expressions and sentences,ask the students to speak out the meaning of them.
b.To teach the students to read some difficult words.
Step 2 Pre-writing
a.Introduce the writing task.
b.Clear structure: How many parts does a invitation contains?What are they?
Step 3 While-writing
a.Sentence patterns: What sentence structure can we use to write part one,part two and the last part?
b.Activity description: How to describe activities(time,place and event/theme)?Make the information clear.
c.Highlights of an invitation:Varied sentences and advanced vocabulary.
d.Practice: Write a letter of invitation in class.
Step 4 After-writing
Show some students’ writing on the blackboard or on the screen and ask the students to assess them.
