Step 1 Pre-reading
T show a video to the students about little Helen and ask : Do you know who the girl is?
Ss answer the question--- She is Helen.
T: Yes. She is little Helen. She was blind and deaf when she was19 months. How could she learn new words ?
Ss: by touching.
T: Could she learn all the words by touching such as love, think, sky, cloud…? If she couldn’t, how could she learn these words?
T: today, here is a passage which will tell us how Helen learned the word”love”.
