(一)学生难度预测
授课对象为普通班,该班大部分学生学习态度端正,对英语学习比较重视,英语基础一般,课内课外都能配合老师完成各项任务。学生们对提高阅读水平的愿望较为强烈,因此阅读课符合他们的学习愿望。但学生平时在阅读课中只停留在对课文浅表的理解,如觉得把判断题和选择题做对就可以了,这节课针对学生平时存在的问题,除了要求学生对文章的细节理解,还要求学生对文章进行推理判断、篇章分析和体裁分析,以提高学生的阅读理解能力和综合分析文章的能力。
(二)语言材料分析
学生阅读的材料选自人教版教材第一册第4单元里的阅读文章。该材料难度适中,所出现的词汇主要来自大纲词汇。
(三)教学目标
1.To improve the students’ ability of reading comprehension.
2. To let the Ss take part in the activities of reading, speaking by using multimedia.
3. To help the students to learn how to analyze the discourse and the genre of the passage.
(四)教学过程
教学步骤:设计目的Step 1 Lead- in (见第1-5张幻灯片)
1. One-minute speech: One student is responsible for the one-minute speech every day. The topic for the one-minute speech this week is to introduce one of the disasters.
2. Predict the main idea of the passage by looking at some pictures of some disasters, watching a video and doing a quiz about reducing the damage of an earthquake.
Step 2 Fast reading (见第6-12张幻灯片)
First reading for main idea
Reading Skill One (Scanning :Read fast for specific information)
Second reading for structure
Reading Skill Two (Skimming :Read fast for the general idea.)
1).Underline the topic sentence of each paragraph.
2).Analyze the structure of the passage ( Match the main idea of each part.)
3)Sum up the main idea of each part of the passage. (use one word or two words to summarize it)
Step 3 Careful reading(见第13-19张幻灯片)
Third reading for detailed information:
Part 1 (Para.1) warning signs
Read Para.1 carefully and circle the strange things which happened before the earthquake.
