Step Ⅰ Lead in
1. Greetings.
2. Show some pictures to students (Brother Sharp, Sister Feng and Mo Yan) to arouse their attention and guide them to the topic – the Internet.
Step Ⅱ Introduction
The purpose of this part is to deal with the vocabulary about the computer and the Internet. Show the picture of a computer on PPT, and then guide students to name different parts of a computer. Ask students to match those parts according to the definitions or functions. After that, bring in some words and phrases concerning the Internet to enlarge their vocabulary.
Step Ⅲ Presentation
The purpose of this part is to let students know the history of the Internet. At first, explain some new words for them, such as batch processing, vague, virtual, and install. Then give students three questions before they watch a video on the history of the Internet.

Step Ⅳ Group Exhibition
Along with the development of the modern Internet, a great many high-tech products emerged, which have changed our daily life dramatically. Invite some students to introduce some high-tech products. This activity will imitate a famous TV talent show The Voice of China. There will be a host and three candidates which stand for three different groups. This activity is to attract students’ attention to think about the effects of modern Internet and technology. After that, show them the pictures of two important figures in the IT industry – Bill Gates and Steve Jobs, and then guide students to understand the true meaning of success from those famous figures.
