What:
本节课的教学内容是Book 2 Unit 1 Cultural Relics 中的Reading部分，本篇文章从文体上来看属于记叙文，内容上客观地讲述了琥珀屋的建造、赠送、改造、被盗、重建的历史过程。
How:
文章结构清楚、逻辑清晰，语言客观准确、逻辑严谨。第1段是文章的beginning part，包含主题句及对琥珀屋的描写；第2-5段是文章的body part，文章以时间和空间为坐标将琥珀屋的历史串联，讲述了它的历史变迁。
Why:
通过本文对追寻琥珀屋历史的学习，体会文化遗产的样貌、历史及隐含价值，加强学生对于文化遗产的起源、发展、以及文化内涵的了解，增强文化遗产保护意识，珍视文化遗产。
学情分析：
授课对象为高一学生。高一学生整体学习热情高，执行力强，有一定程度的英语基础知识，能够理解文章大意、提取基本信息，并具有关于文化遗产的基本背景知识。因此，尽管不了解琥珀屋的历史，且缺乏对琥珀屋相关描述词汇的了解，但能够积极参与文本分析并进行个人观点的表达。基于此，需要教师在阅读策略、信息处理和思维升华方面进行指导。

Objectives：
At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:
master the words related to the Amber Room: rare , fancy, decorate, reception, etc.
get and apply the information to explore the look and history of the Amber Room;
search for the footprints of the Amber Room, and thoroughly understand the different roles of the Amber Room in different times.
