Step1. Pre-reading
1. Ask the students to answer the three questions.
a. Are you interested in art ?
b. Do you like traditional Chinese art using brush and ink?
c.Can you name a great artist?
Work individually then collect the answers from the students.
Show six pictures and introduce the pictures.
Step2. Reading
1. Word-learning
Ask the students to pay attention to the key words and phrases
style 风格，natural 自然的，observe 观察，because of 因为
best-known 最著名的，in...style 以...的风格，line 线条
Reality 真实、现实 ，imitate 临摹、模仿，instead 相反
Lively 活的、栩栩如生的
2.Fast-reading
a. Ask the students to listen to the radio, to read passage C&D,and to answer the question.
