V. Teaching Procedures
Step 1 Lead-in
Ask students to discuss a question “what is art?” to lead in the class. Make the students know that art is a wide field. It includes many parts, such as music, handwriting, painting, sculpture, architecture, drama, literature and so on. Then the teacher will tell students they will learn a kind of art--painting in this class
Step 2 Introduction
1. Ask students to say their impressions of artists.
2. The teacher will show some pictures of famous artists home and abroad and their masterpieces. After that, the teacher will introduce their styles of painting to students.
3. The teacher will show some pictures of different kinds of painting on the screen. At the same time, students can learn some new world about art.
4. The teacher will show some pictures and ask students to give each picture a name.
