Book 2 Module 3以“Music”为话题，“reading and vocabulary”以三段小短文的形式分别介绍了西方三位著名音乐家海顿、莫扎特和贝多芬的主要成就和生平细节。
How:
本文分为三个相对独立的部分，第一部分介绍海顿，第二部分介绍莫扎特，第三部分介绍贝多芬。三个部分行文结构相似，分别从个人基本信息（包括生卒年、出生地、家庭背景的基本情况），主要经历和主要成就三个方面介绍三位音乐家。介绍主要经历时以时间为序，运用了大量的时间状语。
Why:
通过对三位音乐家简单的介绍，让同学们对他们的生平和成就有基本的了解，同时要让同学们学会如何从不同方面以一定的时间顺序、使用适当的时间状语，有逻辑地介绍人物。
学情分析：
高一·9班是本年级的平行班，学生基础中等切差距较大，部分同学思维活跃，能积极参与课堂，但也有部分同学学习被动，不爱主动发言。基于此，本堂课采用大量的小组合作学习，让每位同学都能有效地参与课堂，进行深度思考、发表自己的见解。
教学目标及重难点
Teaching goals：
At the end of the period, students will:
be able to find out the aspects and detail information about introducing a person;
be able to use mind-map to help them organize the information they get from the passage and introduce the person according to the mind-map;
be able to collect information from others’ presentations;
know how to introduce a person, including the aspects, expressions and tense.
Learning Focus and Difficulty：
Focus -- Introduce a great person from different aspects with proper expressions.
Difficulty -- Make sure students can introduce a great person according to the mind-map they draw and take notes while listening to others’ presentation.
