Lead-in:
Showing several pieces of music and let students guess what is the type of them.
A brief introduction of Vienna and Austria.
Skimming:
Ask students to read the passage quickly and choose a most suitable title.
Scanning:
Ask students to read the first two paragraphs about Haydn and finish T/F activity individually.
Ask students to read the third and fourth paragraphs about Mozart individually and then fill in the information form in group of three.
Ask students to read the fifth and sixth paragraphs about Beethoven and then answer specific questions related to the reading material in group of three.
Describing a person:
Form a structure for describing a person.
Ask students to choose a person to describe using the generalized structure in group of 6.
