四．Teaching steps
Step 1 Lead-in （2’）
Show students a picture where a girl is crying because of her fat body shape and ask students to give her some advice on how to lose weight. This process aims to introduce the topic of the lesson-how to write a letter of advice.
Step 2 Pre-writing (16’)
Give some tips on how to write a letter of advice. Specifically, students learn to write the following letter of advice with the help of teacher and summarize the evaluations of a good writing.
