Step 1 Leading-in
1) Greet the Ss and welcome the teachers.
2) Introduce the topic and the learning aims of the period.
3) Show some paragraphs and pictures about paintings and get the main idea by just reading the topic sentence.
★ Purposes of design: a. To make the Ss realize the topic and the learning aims of this class.
b. To feel what is the function of a topic sentence by reading these paragraphs.
c. To arouse the interest of students and lead in the topic.
Step 2: Ask Students what is a topic sentence.

Step3: Explain the method of textural analysis
Look at the sentences below. Put them into the right order to make a paragraph. Find the topic sentence first.
