Topic: Book 2 Module 6 Films and TV Programmes Grammar and Reading

Analysis of the teaching material:

The topic of this module is films and TV programmes. The grammar section is about adverbs and adverbial phrases, which are presented in the reading material. It aims to make students identify different kinds of adverbs, that is, adverbs of frequency, time, place and manner in the reading context. Meanwhile, students should know about the positions and functions of adverbs and adverbial phrases in the sentence, and learn to put them in correct order in a sentence.

Analysis of learners:

The learners are students from an ordinary class of senior I. They are of different levels, but most of them lack?the motivation to learn?English, especially in learning English grammar.

1) Enable the students to identify different kinds of adverbs, that is, adverbs of frequency, time, place and manner in the reading context.

2) Enable the students to know about the position, function and the correct order of adverbs and adverbial phrases in the sentence.

2. Help the students put when / where / how adverbs in the correct order in the sentence.
