Part 2 Analysis of the students

The students have already learnt a similar passage about England in Junior High, so they should be familiar with the topic like this . Also , the students can apply what they learnt in other subjects, like history and geography , to English learning .

However, the students who will attend the class are not good at English speaking, listening , reading and writing. What’s worse, they almost never have classes in English.

Part 3 Teaching aims:

1．Knowledge aims:

（1）To help students understand the words and some useful expressions

（2）To get the students to have a better understanding of the text

（3）To help students to introduce a place using what will be learnt today.

2．Ability aim:

To train the students’ listening ,reading, speaking and reading ability ;

3．Emotional aims:

（1）To learn English well is a must for you to travel further.

（2）Every country in the world has its unique culture ,and we should respect, understand and learn from the different cultures.

（3）A broad horizon will make you a better person.

Part 4 Teaching key points
