Ⅲ The analysis of students:
The learners are in senior 1. At the aspect of cultural background,most of?them know some information about the capital of our country-- Beijing. So it's good to begin with Beijing. At the aspect of language ability, lack of enough vocabulary is the vital weakness in their English writing. Besides, it is difficult for them to understand the?long,complex sentences.
Ⅳ Teaching procedures:
Step 1 Lead-in
Show some pictures and introduce the city--Beijing to students.
Show the passage about Beijing to Ss and then ask them to find out which aspects can be mentioned when we introduce a place.
Step 2 Guidance for writing
1.Make sure the type of the passage,tense, detailed information and how to develop the passage.
2.Useful sentence structures
