Step 1: Greeting and lead-in
Lead in by appreciating a poem.
Make it clear to students that link words play a very important role in this poem
Step 2: An easy task and some basic exercise that help students summarize the features of each word
First summarize the features of “however” “but” through some exercise
Then summarize the features of the rest four words through some more exercise
A summary of all features
Step 3: Promotion: further exercise based on the summary mentioned above.
Show students some more exercise.
e.g.
