教学整体设计思路
本节课总的设计思路是采用阅读教学方式What Is a Tornado?What Is a Hurricane? 通过本节课的学习,提高学生的语言运用能力。本课以现行的课程标准和新的课程理念为指导思想,以学生为主体,利用多媒体教学,学生通过自主学习,合作,探究等学习模式提高语言运用能力,以及情感态度,价值观的升华。

Step 1 Pre-reading
Task 1 Check the meaning of the new words in this module
学生活动:学生边听课本单词录音边回答每个英文单词的中文意思,听两遍,第一遍,全体学生一起完成,第二遍,Boys PK Girls,单数单词词义由男生回答,双数单词由女生回答。
设计意图:通过词汇练习,巩固所学词汇,为接下来的Reading做好准备。次活动要求学生一边听本模块单词录音一边回答出每个英文单词的中文意思,此活动要求学生对所学词汇掌握程度要好,且要求学生反应要快才能较好完成任务,是检测学生词汇掌握情况的一种很好的方式和手段。

设计意图:通过Task 2 的词汇练习,再次巩固接下来的Reading中出现的重点单词和短语。

Passage 1 What Is a Tornado?
