Analysis of students
学生为高一普通班的学生，这个单元主要话题为sandstorms and environment,对于学生来讲较容易理解，与生活贴近，通过阅读本文，帮助学生认识到预防沙尘暴，保护环境的重要性。
学生在这节课的学习过程中用到归纳策略，逻辑策略，分析策略等。
Design of Teaching Objectives
(1). Knowledge objects
学生能够识别新学的词汇，短语并推断其意思；学生能掌握一些重点话题词组并能在句中能熟练使用。
（2）Ability objects
强化略读，查读等阅读技能，训练通过寻找关键词，主题句等方式更快速并准确地确定文章的段落大意，理清文章的总体框架与脉络的技能。
增强阅读的理解能力，借助图片，表格等非语言的信息进行语言输出的能力。
（3）Affective objectives
帮助学生了解沙城暴的危害，增强学生环保意识
在男女抢答问题中，增强学生集中思考，努力竞争的精神。

训练用英语获取信息，处理信息，分析问题和解决问题的能力。
通过skimming –scanning—careful reading—retelling –filling in blanks 提高学生阅读技巧。
