学情分析:
学生来自本校高一文科实验班,学生整体落差小,教学起点容易把握,学生具备一定的英语表达能力。因为学生从未见过沙尘暴,因此要讨论沙尘暴有一定难度,但是学生思维活跃,乐于参与,因此教师安排学生课前预习,利用任务型活动策略,协作学习策略,力求达到更好的效果。
尝试与探究:
根据新课程改革的要求,本节课主要通过任务型教学法为主要方式进行教学,按照引入,读前,读中和读后四个主要环节布置学习任务,在内容要求上层层深入。以个人学习和成对学习、小组学习的小组合作学习的方式相结合进行教学。
首先,在课题探究方面,本节课使用视频和图片让学生意识到沙尘暴的危害。引发学生关于如何保护环境的思考,从而增强学生的社会责任感的环保意识。

To help students to know the causes and effects of a sandstorm and solutions;

Stage 1 Before Reading
Step1: Check the homework on P33
Ss talk about some natural disasters learnt in Module3. And then Ss are encouraged to talk about what they know about sandstorm by doing Exercise 2 On P31.
Step2: Ss get to know the meanings of some words which can help them to understand the reading passage by describing what happened in the news given by T.
Stage2 While Reading
Step1: Ss read the passage quickly and try to find the main idea of the passage.
