2.学情分析
? 本节课的教学对象为高二学生,内容为本模块的最后一个课时-----写作。通过第一课时热身和听力,学生大致了解了课文的内容和主题,并对文中所说的交通工具有了一定了认识;第二课时泛读课,学生通过跳读、速读、细节查询等方法更进一步理解了文章大意,提升了自己的阅读水平;第三课时为精读课,学生通多再次关注本模块的重点单词、短语和句型,并识记和理解他们的用法,再结合文中给出的句子进行句子成分划分,强化了重难点知识的理解和应用;本节课是最后一个课时,在学生顺利完成了上述学习目标之后,进入了能力提升环节----写作,即利用自己积累和所学的与交通相关的词汇和知识,再结合写作要求来完成一篇交通安全方面的短文写作,进一步提高学生语言知识运用能力,而这也正好是学生的薄弱点,通过加强写作训练,让学生真正地达到学以致用,同时通过写作实践也可以提高他们的交通安全意识。
3.重点难点
1.To help students get familiar with the patterns of writing a letter of advice.
2.To put the key phrases from the writing requirements into beautiful sentences and then write a passage with the help of the transitional words.

Teaching procedures:
Step1. Warming-up:
?? To show students a video about a traffic accident that happened in Peppa Pig, and then ask them two questions “what is traffic jam?”、“why do traffic jam often happen?”,which will lead students to our topic---we are going to write a letter to the government leaders, expressing our suggestions that they should take measures to solve the problems in traffic jam.
Step2. Phrases and expressions that can be used in a letter of advice.(Since we are going to write a letter to the government leaders, what kind of phrases and expressions do we usually need?)
1. Ask students to write down the expressions on the guided learning plans according to their own accumulation.(self-study)
2.Students exchange their expressions and phrases with their partners to make sure theirs’?are correct and suitable.(group-study)
