Read through the words in the box and match the words with their meaning according to page 115 on text book.

victim:a person ,animal or things that suffers pain, death or harm
diagnose : to discover the nature of an illness
best-seller : a book that sells in very large numbers
Motor neuron disease: an illness which makes a person unable to speak,breathe or move
cosmology : the scientific study of the universe
disability : the state of being disabled
Introduce the topic
Through the pictures and a short video , the students have a knowledge of Hawking.
(They are eager to know more information about him.)
Fast Reading
step 1. Read the passage on the P37 and match the main idea of each paragraph.
(Through the fast reading , the student should learn to grasp the main idea of the paragraph quickly.)
step 2. Number the paragraphs in the wright order.
(Having known the main idea, we find the paragraphs are in the wrong order. So I let the students put them in the right time order .)
