（why）通过这一环节，除了知识上帮助学生写简短的人物传记，还旨在引领学生建立正确的人生观—不畏艰难，勇于奋斗，超越自己。

（how）通过引领学生熟知传记结构及判断一篇好文章的标准，引导学生根据关键词写出伟大科学家的事迹，完成写作任务，提高写作能力。写作对象的内容已经界定：出生时间、地点；工作、生活地点；为何著名；重要发明、发现。旨在激发学生相关话题的背景知识，并训练其语言表达能力，而且能够在交流中喜欢相互学习，进一步扩大知识面。

2. 学情分析

这篇文章旨在引导学生写一篇人物传记。对于霍金，学生并不陌生，材料也相对简单，学生很容易理解。难点在于如何引导学生熟知熟知传记结构及判断一篇好文章的标准，最终写出简短的人物传记。希望课后，学生关于这一题材的写作能力有所提高。另外，在名人材料的积累过程中，理解他们的成长历程，有利于学生毅力的培养。
