Teaching methods:
Multimedia facilities,task-reading method,discussion method and performance.
Teaching process:
Lead-in. By showing Ss a related picture and a famous Chinese poem to lead the topic”the Three gorges”, then discuss some questions .
Presentation:
A.Ask Ss to find the time,location,character...from P1-2;
B.According to P3-5,invite Ss to draw the related map of each paragraph on the blackboard,after that ,other Ss can correct it by himself/herself.
C.The teacher draws a simple conclusion and explains the passage simply.
Activity and performance
Invite Ss to retell the tour route with the help of the map.
Discuss question “if you are a guide,how would you introduce this place to tourists”.
Conclusion
By observing the passage and find out the writing order(time order& spatial order)

A.Write a short travel essay named“Travel in HongShan Park”.
B.Review and finish exercise on page43
