Teaching procedure:
Step 1: Greeting.
Say “Good Morning” to boys and girls.
Step 2: Before-writing & Discussion
Task 1: Read the passage loudly.
Have Ss read the following passage. After reading, examine the topic and write the steps on the Bb. Show the following passage on the screen.
【2015·全国卷Ⅱ】 假定你是李华,计划同学去敬老院(nursing home)陪老人们过重阳节(the Double Ninth Festival)。请给外教露西写封邮件,邀她一同前往,内容包括:
1.出发及返回时间; 2.活动:包饺子、表演节目等。
Task 2: Analyze the passage.
Ask Ss to read the passage carefully and answer these questions according to the passage. Then underline the sentences or circle them. After finishing the work, ask Ss to pay attention to the writing outline above.
Step 3: Thinking & Discussion
Just now, we analyzed a letter about the activity that will take place next Saturday. Then,what should we do before writing this kind of passage? What is the writing type? (A Narrative Writing) How to write a narrative? Ask Ss to discuss with their partners about it. The Key is: six points. (who, when, where, why, what, how)
