= 1 ﹨ ROMAN I . Warming up: Ask Ss a question---What is body language? Give some example
Rationale: help Ss answer the question by going through the PPT
Rationale: arouse students’ interest in this topic and lead them to the topic of all the passage in this class
= 2 ﹨ ROMAN II .Lead in: show Ss a video clip about eye contact
Rationale: help students understand what eye contact is
= 3 ﹨ ROMAN III . Presentation: Help Ss to review the homework, a gap filling, whose topic is eye contact.
SHAPE ﹨ MERGEFORMAT
Step 1: Analyze the characteristics of gap filling and sum up how to work out gap fillings step by step
Rationale: help students have a brief understanding of the gap fillings and its structures
Step 2: Ask and help Ss to find out the key words in the gap filling and show them 3 kinds of skills: hyponymy, synonyms and the word recurrence and pronouns by analyzing their homework and Exercise done in the class, both of which are based on the same topic, body language
Step 2-1: SkillⅠ: Synonyms and the word recurrence
Rationale: check their homework by guiding them to use synonyms and the word recurrence to find out the correct answers and then use Exercise 1 to consolidate what they have learned
