According to New Curriculum Standard, teachers should guide students to learn English in an active way by continual practice. It is of equal importance for students to improve their English learning ability and broaden their horizon. The teaching material of this lesson is reading and writing of Module 1 -Life in the Future
This period contains two parts. The first part to be dealt with reading on page 8. When dealing with this section, ask the students to finish different tasks after reading the whole passage. The second part is Writing. Ask the students to write a passage about their life in the future.
Teaching Aims：
1.Train the students’ reading ability.
2.Help the students learn how to write a passage about their life in the future..
3.Encourage students to think of their life in the future..
Teaching Important Points:
Learn to write a passage about life in the future
2. Master and apply some useful expressions and sentence patterns they have learnt in this period
Teaching Difficult Points:
Lead the students to be active in class.
2. Develop the students’ reading and writing skills.
3. Master apply important language points proficiently and correctly.
Teaching Procedures：
Step 1 lead-in
Games:
Show students the following questions:
Q1: How old will you be in ten years?
Q2: Would you like to have a family ten years later?
Q3: What kind of job will you choose?
Q4: What will you do in your free time?
Step 2 Reading
1 Divides the whole class into 8 groups and give each group 5 minutes to do some exercises.
2 Group work: Request the students to read through the passage( page 8) quickly and find out the answers to the questions given in the learning plan. (Questions are listed as follow.)
