Teaching methods:

Teaching goals

Knowledge aims:

Master words or phrases and some useful expressions involved in this passage through independent study and this class; know about a special job worth doing by reading a picture and text about it.

Ability aims:

Conclude learning and reading strategies and use them to master English; improve the interests and skills on reading.

Emotion aims:

Develop team spirit; learn about and enjoy a job worth doing by reading a passage; learn good qualities from the hero; deliver love and positive energy by doing some good deeds in daily life; try to study hard and build a strong body to choose a job worth doing in the future.

Teaching Important Points；

1. Help the students master the new words, phrases and expressions.

2. Lead students to learn what the passage is about and learn some qualities from the hero.

Teaching Difficult Points:

1. To improve students’ reading?skills and conclude the methods of reading comprehension.

2. Help students to retell the story with their own words clearly and logically.
