教材版本
外研社必修5
Overall Design
This is the writing period of Module 2 A Job Worth Doing. The teaching objective of this period is to enable the students to write an application letter. In order to achieve this objective, task-based language teaching(TBLT) is adopted. There are mainly four steps in this class, leading-in, pre-writing, writing and post-writing.
The first step is leading-in, in which the students are shown some pictures that are related to the teacher. The students look at these pictures and answer questions. The purpose is to catch the students’ interest. The second step is to read a sample to learn the structure of an application letter and some expressions so that the students can be prepared for writing. The third step is to write an application letter in 10 minutes according to knowledge learned in the previous step. The last step is to check the writing, which can help the students learn from each other and realize their own problems in writing. All in all, this period mainly focuses on learning and practising writing an application letter.
