《Reading and vocabulary》教案优质课下载

教学对象为高二学生,智力发展趋于成熟,渐渐形成用英语获取信息、处理信息、分析问题和解决问题的能力,就此我特别注重提高学生用英语进行思维和表达的能力。通过任务型课堂活动和学习,使学生的学习自主性得到加强,不再认为英语的课堂学习很枯燥,主动参与的活动中去,成为课堂的主体,同时也加强了与他人的交流合作的能力。不过,学生对马克·吐温的这一作品并不是很熟悉。所以,要简单介绍马克·吐温与The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.

本班学生属于文科普通班,水平参差不齐。因此在教学过程中,布置的任务要兼顾各个层次的学生,使他们都有收获。

设计思路

根据诱思探究的教学理念,课堂上必须以学生为主体来进行教学,教师起引导作用,以小故事的发展为线索,运通思维导图,通过问题情境,步步设疑,引导学生把握文章,并借复述课文,培养学生运用语言的能力。通过角色扮演和分析人物性格特点,提高学生的语言能力。

首先,聊聊阅读的好处,引出文学,提到马克·吐温和他的The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.简单介绍故事背景,设疑,让学生带着好奇心,阅读故事内容。

其次,根据情节发展,把故事分为发现蒸汽船、登上蒸汽船和离开蒸汽船三部分,运用思维导图,对文章重要信息设疑,让学生带着问题了解故事情节,并根据思维导图复述课文,提高语言能力。

最后,让学生课后探讨哈克和吉姆的性格特点,并通过角色扮演的形式提高运用语言的能力。

学习目标 1. 能力目标:提高学生口语表达能力,能够运用阅读策略如略读、跳读等,提高阅读技能。

2. 知识目标:能够将词汇知识、语法知识的学习和语篇学习结合起来。

3. 能够复述课文。

教学过程

Step I Lead in

Talk about the meaning of reading and ask the students to read more in their spare time to improve their studying ability.

Step II Introduce Mark Twain and his famous novel The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn briefly. (Show some pictures on the screen)

Mark Twain is a famous American writer and his novel, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, is perhaps the most famous American novel ever written. Huckleberry (or just Huck) is the hero, who has run away from home. His companion, Jim, is a black slave, who has also run away because of unbearable work. The two of them are sailing down the Mississippi River on a raft when they saw something in the middle of the river ahead of them. Then what happened? Do you want to know? (激发学生兴趣)

Step III Ask the students read the story The Steamboat by means of mind mapping

The Structure of the story

Ask the students to read the first two paragraphs and find out the answers to the following questions. Then retell this part according to the mind mapping.

Ask the students to read from para.3 to para.9 and find out the answers to the following questions. Then retell this part according to the mind mapping.

Ask the students to read the last two paragraphs and find out the answers to the following questions. Then retell this part according to the mind mapping.

Step III Homework

What do you think of Huck and his companion Jim?

(Huck is a brave spirit with curiosity and kindness, while Jim is timid and mercenary. They helped each other when meeting difficulty and overcome it finally. A friend in need is a friend in deed. )

2. Make a list of the conversation in the story and play it during the next period.
