Step I. Self-study

Let the students enjoy a writing “What happened?”. After that, let the students underline the beautiful sentences they think.

One day, it was sunny. On the way to school, I heard someone calling my name. It was my good friend Li Ming. So we went to school together, and we talked and laughed happily along the way. But when we arrived at school, we found the classmates standing out of the classroom ,who looked worried .We were surprised to find the window broken by someone, which looked terrible. After a while, our teacher came and opened the door. To our surprise, in the classroom, a pot of flower fell down to the ground, and it was broken .When we saw that ,we were so angry that we couldn’t say a word .But our teacher comforted us, “Don't worry. The monitor lost the key .It's a pity that someone broke the window. But if you seize the time to clean and study, you will make up for the time!” We were all moved by the teacher’s words, so we decided to work hard .

Step II. Co-operation

分词作状语

顺承短文情节用例句阐述了事情发展的经过,如上学路上、教室门口、窗户破了,以及开门后发现花盆摔破、老师的做法等,进而进入语法“分词作状语”这一用法的探究。结合短文的内容,运用了文中状语从句改编例句来认识分词作状语的用法。

1)以短文情景为线索,引导学生继续观察文中例句。

= 1 ﹨ GB3 ① We went to school together, and we talked and laughed happily.

= 2 ﹨ GB3 ② When we arrived at school, we found that some of our classmates were standing out of the classroom .

= 3 ﹨ GB3 ③ A pot of flower fell down to the ground, and it was broken .

= 5 ﹨ GB3 ⑤ We were all moved by the teacher’s words, so we decided to work hard .
