Procedures
Step 1 Lead in
Show students a short video and ask them what the topic of the video is.
Have a Brainstorm to sports
Ask students”what’s your favorite sports?
Step 2 Group work
Students are divided into groups and then ask and answer questions by acting as reporters.
What’s your favourite sport?
How often do you do it?
When and where do you usually do it?
Who do you usually do it with?
Why are you crazy about it?
Step 3 Pre-writing
Show Students a ball match and ask question:
When we are watching a ball game , how can we give an account(报道/描述)of it?

Ladies and gentlemen, the football game was scheduled(安排) to start at 5 o’clock in the afternoon. Long before that ,all my classmates began to arrive at the pitch. The headteacher and coach was encouraging the players and giving them some advice and guide. Before the match , all the students thought that chances were(that) our class could win the match because some good players were in the class.
Suddenly, the referee （裁判）blew his whistle. The game started. The players performed very actively. During the first five minutes of the second half, our class fell behind Class 4. The score was 1: 2. However, our players tried their best to catch up with them in the second half. The game was very exciting from beginning to end. Classmates cheered for our own team, and everybody was wondering which team was going to win.
Unluckily, we lost the game. However, it was in this game that we found the sense of class belonging and honour and we also felt the warmth of class. We are family.
