Emotion & attitude aims:

To make students entered the scene unconsciously, to mobilize students' thinking activity and emotional experience, causing the students resonance, by Using multimedia means to create a positive and harmonious teaching atmosphere,. This part aims to cultivate students by means of reading, how to protect the animals, improve their quality, improve their reading ability, strengthen the cultural consciousness, to encourage their enthusiasm to love animals and the protection of animal. Meanwhile, to develop the ability of cooperate with others.

Learning strategy objectives:

Search information from the Internet.

Learn by pairwork, group work and discussing.

Cultural-awareness objectives:

Through learning this passage, the students raise the awareness of wildlife protection regardless of national boundaries.

Teaching important points:

To learn about saving the antelopes.

To know the usages of the important phrases and a sentence pattern.

Teaching difficult point:

To find some effective and feasible measures which can help the endangered animals. To cultivate students to love nature and wild animals.

学情分析:

高二的学生具备了一定的阅读能力和分析能力,例如已经掌握了略读、跳读等一定的阅读技巧以及识别关键词、确定主题句、预测等阅读微技能,形成了初步的阅读策略。但在运用策略解决实际问题的能力方面还有待提高,要逐步培养学生学以致用的能力。大部分学生的基础知识仍然较为薄弱,运用英语进行交际活动的能力较差;主动学习的动力不够,然而他们学习比较认真,好胜心强,渴望在班集体里得到他人的承认,很在乎别人对他们的评价;求知欲旺盛,思维比较活跃。部分学生的基础较好,能主动配合老师,愿意开口讲。他们有着高中生独立、爱表现自我的特点。因此,只有设置使他们感兴趣的活动,因材施教,才能让他们投入到课堂活动中来。另外在学生学习课文时,对文章所涉及的现象和文化内涵的理解的深度还不够,因此要注意引导。
