我们农村七年级学生才从小学步入初中，大部分学生基础较弱，甚至零基础，但经过前面一个单元的学习，学生能掌握一些简单的问候语，处于入门阶段的学生，对英语有一定的兴趣，但同时又有一定困难，比如口语和书写能力较弱。What’s this in English?是预备单元中间部分教学内容。本单元语言目标是“Letters I-R； Identify things；Spell words”。基本句型为What’s this in English? It’s a/an xxx。本课以“Identify things”为重点，通过图片加实物展示的方式让学生熟悉八个基本物体的读法以及拼写，让学生明白：英语其实离自己的生活很贴近，达到培养学生喜爱英语，善于将英语与日常生活建立起联系。这部分内容基础句型较少，主要是八个物体单词的读音，因此，采用小组合作学习法，情景教学法结合的方式，在培养学生合作能力的同时，锻炼口语，学到知识。
三、教学重点：1、重点词汇 orange，jacket，map，cup，key，jacket，ruler，pen等等。??

五、教学过程：
Step1：warm－up
? 1、speak out the slogan：“Speak up！I’m the best!”
? 2、Get the students to introduce themselves in English.
? 3、Review greetings.
