Teaching Steps:

Lead in: set a picture. Let Ss say where the picture was taken? Why there would be a Geo-park in our hometown?

Play a video. Let Ss hear the contents of text with answering the following questions:(3 mins)

1)When did the dinosaurs live? 2)When did the dinosuars die out ? 3)How did the dinosuars die out ?

3.Reading the text quickly to find out the answers to some simple questions (5 mins)

4.Consolidation of passage .(3 mins)

5.Language points: key words & short phrases(15 mins)
