Step 1 Lead in:
1.Watch a video to lead in: What’s this in English?
2. Show pictures to learn the new words: pen, pencil, cat, dog, and flower.
Step 2 Listen and read.
1.Play the recording and ask the students to listen.
2. Invite several students to come to the front to write what they heard on the blackboard.
3. Show time by role-playing the conversation.
Step 3 Listen and point.
1. Ask the students to look at the pictures in Activity 2. Listen and point.
2. Ask and answer according to activity 2 like this:
