Ss learn to work together to deal with some difficult problems related to verbs and conjunctions.

Ss work together to come up with ways to do Grammatical Filling.

【Teaching Difficulties and Importance:】

Ss should work together to deal with some difficult problems and come up with some ways to sovle the problems and share with the whole class.

Ss analyse the given materials and conclude the ways of dealing with the difficulties in Grammatical Filling.

【Teaching Methods】

In order to analyse Grammatical Filling step by step, the class is question-oriented and student-oriented, so there is a question to be solved for every step mostly by students.

【Teaching Procedure:】

Step 1: Leading in

Lead in by questions and the targets of the class.

Step 2: Sovle the first problem(How does it test us?)

Ss quickly read the test passage they finished in Part I and think about the question.

Ss report their ideas.

Step 3: Solve the second problem(What does it test us?)

Ss together brainstorm to speak out the nature of the red answers on PPT.

The teacher leads them to group them into two groups: with given words and without given words as well as consider words’ nature when filling in the blanks.

Pick out two difficult and important test points: conjunctions and verbs.

Step 4: Solve the third problem(How do we solve it?)

Ss work together with their group members to finish the exercises in Part II and come up with their own ways to deal with the difficult peoblems.

Ss report their ideas and share with other groups.

Ss conclude the steps to do Grammatical Filling based on their discussion.

Ss add their ideas to perfect the methods to solve the problems.

Step 5: Summary and homework

The teacher leads Ss to summarize what is learnt in the period and gives homework.
