Difficult points: The summary of the whole passage and how to arouse the students’ interest in learning English
Teaching process:
Stept1: warming up
Show the picture in the book and let the students make a short dialogue between Roy and Daniel.(group work, one dialogue a group). And let the students show the dialogue
Then let the students find the true story in the story.
Stept2: Fast reading(individual work)
Skimming: match each paragraph with its general idea.
A) Roy was kind to me and we became paragraph one
good friends.
B) Roy changed a lot, becoming silent paragraph two
and moody as his father died.
C)“I” had no friend when “I” came here. Paragraph three
D)“I” saw Roy stealing others’ things. paragraph four
