Teaching proceduresStep1 lead in

1. Teacher plays “ambush on all sides”(十面埋伏) of Liu Fang.Then teacher asks: Do you like the music? Who plays it? to lead in Liu Fang.

2. Teacher shows some information of Liu Fang and asks:Can you think out some questions about her?

Step2 Activity 1

1.Teacher offers some questions about text.

1.What is her job?

2.What is she famous for?

……..

8.What does she like best about performing live?

2.Students read text and then deal with questions provided in groups.

Step3 Activity 2

1.Teacher asks Ss Do you want to take part in a performing live? to lead in a concert of Liu Fang which will be held in our school.

2.Students write letters of invitation to their mothers in group by using the information they have collected and some sentences provided by teacher.

Step4 Activity 3

1.Play a game”gussing who is it?” according to the pictures on the media.

2.Write a letter to our headmaster to invite her to attend the speech given by our excellent students.

3.Show time.

Step5 Summary and homework

1.Teacher summarises the lesson with students.

2.Homework:

Change invitation letter into a notice.

Step6

Teacher gives students a sentence:
